Thunder Struck

Well, actually, it looks more like this tree was struck by lightning at one time, though it still seemed to be living a perfectly good life. The tree lives at the English Camp section of San Juan Island National Historical Park. Even in this pristine setting, there is evidence of the turns that nature sometimes takes.
