I had found a spot while driving along Highway 101 on the Southern Oregon Coast where it appeared there might be a stunning vista, just behind the trees over there. So I got out and looked. The setting sun shining through the trees by the highway left me with a kinda cool effect. But when I looked a little closer, beyond the first layer of trees by the road, was a clear cut as far as the eye can see. Nice hills back there, but not the stuff that makes it to the travel websites. Yet, I still will never complain about a grove of standing trees.
