I have been asked if I have seen any sea lions in Puget Sound since my arrival here. The answer is no, but only sort-of-no. Along the beach in Edmonds, I found a statue version of our sea lion friends. The statue is titled “Locals” which leads me to believe that they are seen here occasionally. (Yeah, I know from experience that they are found here. I just haven’t seen any in the last couple of weeks.) But wait, there’s more! I almost missed part of the artwork. Just to the right of where I was standing, was the stray sea lion still coming up from the beach:

I hope that one catches up eventually! Photos: Taken at the beach at the Edmonds Marina on 1 July 2011.
