A 49-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday evening while traveling north on Interstate 5 near Fairhaven.
Jonathan Carter, of Marysville, Snohomish County, changed lanes, lost control and hit a median. He died at the scene, according to the Washington State Patrol.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident. The cause of the crash is under investigation, a news release stated.
