The Lynden School Board is inviting community members to provide public input on the timing and scope of the capital bond, which will appear on an upcoming ballot after failing to pass in the February special election.

Council will discuss in the afternoon, and may vote in the evening, on whether to approve the implementation of a bike lane pilot project on Holly Street.

Council will hold two public hearings on a proposed ground lease and an amended interlocal cooperation agreement between the City of Bellingham and Western Washington University regarding the construction of a Coast Salish House of Healing in the Sehome Hill Arboretum.

Council will discuss in the afternoon, and may vote in the evening, on whether to approve a resolution establishing a county response to the fentanyl crisis. Council already unanimously approved the resolution when meeting as the health board on Tuesday, March 26.

Bellingham could grow in a variety of ways. Let the City of Bellingham know the pros and cons of each of the listed approaches on its individual comment boards. Add pros and cons (or up-vote someone else’s comment). Go to this webpage and scroll halfway down to see the comment boards.

Proposed expansion of Bellingham’s transit station. Deadline: 2024

Whatcom Transportation Authority is accepting written comment through its Engage WTA website on a proposal to expand Bellingham Station, to allow room for more buses and additional public uses. Survey online.
