By Connor J. Benintendi Staff Reporter

Squalicum captured its fourth straight win in commanding fashion with a 7-1 victory over Lakewood on Thursday, April 11 at Squalicum High School.

Seniors Simon Egner, Jeremy Renteria Mondragon, Joao Haas and freshman Maddox Strickland each scored in the first half, giving the Storm a 4-1 advantage at the break.

Squalicum (7-2-0, 5-0-0 Northwest Conference) put its junior varsity players in the game in the second half, and it still racked up three more goals.

The Storm’s win streak has placed them firmly in second place in the NWC, and the Storm will next have a home match against Mount Vernon (6-2-1, 4-1-1 NWC) at 7 p.m. Friday, April 12.
