State Route 9 in Everson closed as high winds down trees, power lines

More than 1,300 customers without power in Everson, Nooksack

Both directions of State Route 9 at Badger Road (milepost 94) in Everson are closed Saturday afternoon, Dec. 14, due to fallen trees and power lines.

Washington State Department of Transportation crews are on scene but there is no estimated reopening time. Travelers should look for alternate routes and expect delays.

More than 1,300 customers were without power in Everson and Nooksack as of 3:30 p.m. Saturday, according to Puget Sound Energy’s outage map. Another 450 customers were without power between Blaine and Lynden.
