Bells will host Salute to Service Weekend, including US Navy flyover Friday

July 12-14 will offer free and reduced admission for some

The Bellingham Bells will honor service members, veterans, first responders and educators with a special “Salute to Service Weekend” July 12-14 at Joe Martin Stadium.

“We are honored to host the ‘Salute to Service Weekend’ and ‘Military Appreciation Night’ as a way to show our deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by many members in our community and their families,” said Stephanie Morrell, general manager of the Bellingham Bells. “This is our opportunity to give back to those who have given so much for Whatcom County.”

Military Appreciation Night kicks off the weekend on Friday, July 12 with first pitch at 6:35 p.m. All current and former U.S. veterans will receive free general admission and guests will receive 50% off.

The pre-game ceremony will include a tribute to service members, U.S. Army initiation, the presentation of colors, singing the Canadian and American national anthems and a thrilling flyover of the U.S. Navy EA-18G planes.

First Responders Appreciation Night will be held on Saturday, July 13 with a check donation to Folds of Honor from the Bells, Sound Beverage and Anheuser-Busch and a pre-game flyover by the U.S. Border Patrol helicopter.

All current first responders will receive free general admission and guests will receive 50% off.

Educators Appreciation Day wraps up the weekend on Sunday, July 14. All current educators will receive free general admission and guests will receive 50% off.
