If you caught their set at the Subdued Stringband Jamboree last year, you know when Caleb Klauder and Reeb Willms harmonize on country ballads, it will send a chill up your spine. They’re back in town on Thursday, June 13 for a show at Boundary Bay. Get there in time to check out opener Kian Dye playing tunes from his recent album. 

Blood Capsules

Blood Capsules are one of those bands that disappear for a while and then pop up again, like cicadas. Their excellent debut album came out five years ago, and they’ve only played a handful of shows in the last few years. Fans of classic PNW indie rock like Death Cab or Modest Mouse shouldn’t miss this appearance at Make.Shift with Back to the Loud and the Floral Shirts. 

Odd Fellows Big Band

8 p.m. Saturday, June 15, The Odd Fellows Temple Room, 311 E. Holly St.

The Odd Fellows Temple Room at the Orion has quickly established itself as one of Bellingham’s reliable homes for jazz. Not only that, but apparently they’ve organized an in-house big band for monthly gigs. If you want to get up and swing dance to a big band, Saturday, June 15 is your chance. 

The Chris Eger Band

1 p.m. Sunday, June 16, Gilkey Square, 103 Morris St.

A bunch of summer outdoor music events are about to get started, but La Conner’s is the first out of the gate. High voltage blues rockers The Chris Eger Band will be performing at Gilkey Square on the afternoon of Sunday, June 16.
