Blaine police arrest three on allegations of prostitution, sexual assault

Search warrant leads to arrest of three people in Blaine

Blaine police arrested three people Wednesday, May 29, at a location in west Blaine after serving a search warrant based on allegations of prostitution and sexual assault.

Blaine police, along with help from the Bellingham Police Department and federal law enforcement, served a search warrant around 1 p.m. Wednesday at a business on the 1700 block of H Street, according to Tim Richardson, a spokesperson for Blaine police.

Two people, a 57-year-old man from Blaine and a 38-year-old man from Corona, California, were arrested and booked into the Whatcom County Jail on charges relating to patronizing a prostitute, according to Richardson. They were later released.

A third person, a 39-year-woman from Renton, King County, was arrested and booked into the Whatcom County Jail on charges relating to second-degree rape, according to Richardson. She is being held without bail.

The investigation remains ongoing, according to Richardson.
