CDN Game of the Week: Omak at Meridian

When: 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at Meridian High School

Omak record: 0-1

Meridian record: 1-0

Final prediction: Meridian 35-14

Meridian High squeaked out a 28-21 victory against Deer Park last week to begin the 2024–25 season. The Trojans will rely on all-purpose senior Landen Downey. Downey is listed as the running back, outside linebacker, kicker and punter. In addition, quarterback and defensive back Jaeger Fyfe returns with the hopes of making big plays on offense and defense.

Omak began the season with a 55-6 loss to Okanogan. The Pioneers’ offense had a handful of turnovers, including two fumbles and an interception in the first quarter. They will look to rebound in their second straight road game.
