Bellingham City Council
7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 210 Lottie St., or online

Council will hold a public hearing on a proposed six-month extension and minor edits to the Interim Landmark Tree Ordinance

Blaine School Board
 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 770 Mitchell Ave.

School board members will vote to direct the superintendent to develop a reduced educational program plan to address the district’s ongoing budget challenges.

Whatcom County Council
1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 311 Grand Ave., or online

Council members will discuss the 2025 workplan and timeline for the new Whatcom County Jail and Behavioral Care Center.

Whatcom County Charter Review Commission
6-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 5044 Mt. Baker Hwy, Deming, or online.

Commissioners will discuss and propose amendments to the Whatcom County Charter, and the county auditor will present on election topics.

City of Bellingham 2026 Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan Community survey. Deadline: March 2

The city is updating its PROS Plan, the six-year guide for improving parks, open space, trails and recreation, and is seeking feedback from residents. Survey online.

City of Nooksack community survey. Deadline: Ongoing

The City of Nooksack is seeking feedback from people who live or work in Nooksack on how the city should grow over the next 20 years, as part of the city’s 2025 Comprehensive Plan update. Survey online.

Water System Plan update. Deadline: Winter 2025

The goal of a Water System Plan is to make sure the City of Bellingham understands current and future demands on the system, so it can ensure everyone has reliable access to clean, safe drinking water now and in the future. Tell them why water quality is important to you. Survey online.
