Mount Baker School Board will conduct interviews for three superintendent finalists on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week.
Tim LaGrange, superintendent of Kittitas School District; Jessica Schenck, assistant superintendent for teaching and learning at Othello School District; and Jeff Hardesty, superintendent of Oroville School District are finalists.
The school board will interview LaGrange on Tuesday, March 11, Schenck on Wednesday, March 12 and Hardesty on Thursday, March 13. All the interviews will be from 6:15–7:15 p.m. in the Mount Baker District Office at 4956 Deming Road in Deming.
LaGrange has been the Kittitas superintendent since October 2023. Before, he was superintendent of the Southwest Dubois County School Corporation in Indiana for six years, according to his LinkedIn. Schenck has worked in the Othello School District since 2014, and previously was a principal and the director of STEM education in the district. Hardesty has been the Oroville Superintendent since 2016, and previously was the principal of Tonasket High School, according to the Okanogan Valley Gazette-Tribune.
Community members can attend the interviews in person, or tune in via Zoom. The district will also record the interviews.
The school board interviewed six semi-finalists on Saturday, March 8, including interim superintendent Nick Perigo.
