Sixth-year senior Claire Henninger saved three shots for Western Washington University and the Vikings battled to a scoreless draw against Sonoma State on Monday, Sept. 18 at Harrington Field.

Western (2-1-1) had seven more shots than Sonoma State (2-1-2) but only three of its 13 total were on goal. Junior Ashley Nguyen and sophomores Claire Potter and Morgan Manalili each sent three shots for the Vikings.

Sonoma State junior goalkeeper Claudia Janese finished with two saves.

Western will stay home at Harrington Field for its first Great Northwest Athletic Conference contest versus Simon Fraser (1-0-1) at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21.
