A mid-afternoon earthquake rumbled Bellingham and portions of British Columbia on Friday, Feb. 21.
A 4.8 earthquake west of Squamish, B.C., was recorded around 1:26 p.m., according to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network. The quake had a depth of 10 kilometers.
Reporters in the Cascadia Daily News newsroom in downtown Bellingham felt the quake and saw lampshades shaking.
No tsunami warning has been issued by the National Weather Service.
