Adrian Cedillo of Nooksack and Courtney Olsen of Bellingham reclaimed their top spots in the men’s and women’s divisions of the Bellingham Bay Marathon Sunday, Sept. 22.
On a cool, overcast morning, more than 250 runners lined up at Lummi Nation School and set off for downtown Bellingham for one of the area’s largest running events of the year. More than 1,600 other racers competed in the Bellingham Bay Marathon’s 5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon relay.
Cedillo (2:45:12), a former collegiate runner and current Nooksack Valley cross country coach, is two-for-two after his first go-around at the Bellingham Bay Marathon last year.
Olsen (2:47:19), a professional runner and Bellingham Distance Project founding member, adds another accolade to an already full trophy case.
